Southern Photo Technical Service has detected and resolved the first case of light leak on the Nikon D3x. Isaac Hadid, a 27yr. Nikon Factory Trained Technician resolved the light leak issue for a traveling professional photographer from Irelend, and a member of NPS. The light leak was located in several time exposures taken on a tripod in 3sec. to 7sec. exposures at F22. The Delray Beach, Florida ocean/beach photos showed a bright, sunset colored, cloud shaped object within the natural, grey colored clouds on the horizon. Nice effect, but thats not a sun lite cloud!! Due to the nature of this light leak, we will not explain what we found until it is officially confirmed by Nikon, but it was simple to correct and maybe caused by customer neglect.
