Canon offers the new Canon 500D for advanced prosumer market. This is a nice camera for the amatures, but thats about it. Canon keeps increasing the megapixels on amature cameras, but lets get real, this 15.1mp camera exceeds print needs of the average user. The image quality is the best feature upgrade to previous models, but lets get real, the megapixel war needs to slow down and make cameras more affordable for the average house hold.
