| September 17, 2008 | | Canon S400 and S500 CF error may be due to part failure and needs repair | Canon S400 and S500 CF card error is common, but may be due to improper installation of the CF card. Inspection of the Canon S400 or S500 card slot may show bent pins or in some cases, the pins get pushed straight back into the camera and make contact with metal parts of the card holder assembly. In some rare cases, the card holder circuit fails and will not read the memory card. Please supply a copy of sales slip for all warranty claims and estimates will be provided for post warranty repairs.
