Bent pins, CF card pins damaged and will not read card.

Compact Flash, CF pins get damaged by users inserting the CF card upside down.
When a CF memory card is inserted with the label facing the wrong way, the user can force the card past the stopper and damage the CF card pins that connect to the card, This can cause a short circuit and damage other camera circuits, and naturally, no communication with the memory card. Several pins are longer than others and the pins do not line up correctly when the card is inserted upside down. Repairs are affordable and damaged cameras can be sent to Southern Photo, the Authorized Service Center in Miami Florida.
